Which Drawer Slide should I choose for my kitchen Cabinets?

The 3 most common options we offer are;

  1. PRO560 Under mount Soft-Close Slides
  2. PRO100 Side Mount Full-Extension Slides
  3. Euro 3/4 Extension Bottom Mount Good

For specialized hardware technologies we also offer Blum TIP-ON BLUMOTION and SERVO-DRIVE

1. PRO560 Under mount Soft-Close Slides

  • Soft-Close: Features a hydraulic damper that catches the drawer and pulls it shut silently. No more “slamming” noise and it protects glassware, and keeps small fingers safe..
  • Total Accessibility: Full-extension technology pulls the drawer completely out—no more “lost” items at the back.
  • The “Invisible” Look: Mounted entirely beneath the drawer box, these slides stay out of sight
  • Heavy-Duty Strength: Rated for 100 lb capacity, perfect for heavy meal-prep containers and bulk pantry staples.

2. PRO100 Side Mount Full-Extension Slides

  • Standard Glide: Smooth ball-bearing movement, but requires the user to close it all the way manually.
  • Full Extension: This slide opens fully to provide 100% visibility of your drawer contents.
  • Rugged Durability: Built with high-grade steel ball bearings for a smooth, consistent glide every time.
  • 100 lb Capacity: Ideal for deep drawers holding cast iron pans, heavy mixers, or large pantry items.

3. Euro 3/4 Extension Bottom Mount

  • Budget-Friendly: The perfect solution for reliable and cost-effective everyday use.
  • 3/4 extension: Means a portion of the drawer stays inside the cabinet. They are nylon-roller based, making them very easy to install and replace.
  • 75lb Capacity: While not as robust as the other 2, they have plenty of weight capacity for most drawers, and they classic choice often found in more basic cabinetry.
  • Limitation: Because they don’t open fully, items at the back can be harder to reach compared to the PRO100 or PRO560.

4. TIP-ON BLUMOTION and SERVO-DRIVE are specialized hardware technologies from Blum designed to provide “push-to-open” functionality for handle-less cabinet drawers and doors.

TIP-ON BLUMOTION. This is a mechanical system that combines two features: push-to-open and soft-close.

  • Opening: A light touch on the drawer front triggers a mechanical spring that pushes the drawer out.
  • Closing: You close it with a gentle nudge; once it reaches a certain point, the soft-close mechanism (BLUMOTION) takes over to pull it shut silently.
  • Key Advantage: It does not require electricity, making it ideal for areas like bathrooms or for users who prefer a non-electric setup.
  • Operation: While primarily push-to-open, it still allows you to pull the drawer open manually without damaging the mechanism.

SERVO-DRIVE. This is an electrical opening support system.

  • Opening: A light touch on the front or a light pull of the handle triggers an electric drive unit that pushes the drawer or door open.
  • Closing: It relies on the standard integrated BLUMOTION for soft and silent closing.
  • Key Advantage: It offers a smoother, more “effortless” feel than mechanical systems and is especially effective for heavy or wide pull-outs.
  • Requirements: Because it is electric, it requires power cables and a transformer to be installed behind or within the cabinetry.
